Privacy Policy
Norscribe is operated by Christian Wiedmann in Florida, United States. This Privacy Policy explains how Norscribe collects, uses, shares, protects, retains, and deletes information when you use the public website at norscribe.ai, the beta web application at app.norscribe.ai, or Norscribe’s connected publishing features.
1. Information we collect
Account and organization information
- Your name, email address, profile image, and authentication identifiers supplied through Google or another enabled sign-in provider.
- Business or organization name, membership, role, invitations, and access permissions.
Content you provide
- Photos, videos, audio, written notes, transcripts, captions, drafts, campaign information, and other material you capture or upload.
- Edits, approvals, destination selections, publishing instructions, and feedback.
Connected-platform information
- Identifiers and profile details for Facebook Pages, Instagram Professional accounts, Google Business Profile locations, or other destinations you choose to connect.
- Authorization credentials or tokens needed to maintain those connections. Where supported, sensitive provider tokens are stored separately and encrypted.
- Publishing requests, platform responses, provider post identifiers, links, connection health, and error or reconciliation records.
Technical and support information
- Browser, device, operating-system, IP-address, diagnostic, security, and usage information reasonably necessary to operate and protect the service.
- Messages, support requests, beta feedback, and other communications you send to Norscribe.
2. How we use information
Norscribe uses information to:
- Authenticate users, enforce invitations, and manage organizations and roles.
- Capture, store, transcribe, interpret, organize, edit, and preserve user content.
- Generate requested drafts, suggestions, captions, and content variations.
- Connect publishing destinations and carry out publishing instructions authorized by the user.
- Display destination-specific publishing status and confirmed provider links.
- Secure, troubleshoot, maintain, and improve the service.
- Respond to support, privacy, security, and deletion requests.
- Comply with law and protect users, Norscribe, and third parties.
3. Artificial intelligence and transcription
Norscribe may send the content necessary to complete a requested task to AI, transcription, storage, hosting, or processing providers. That content may include text, audio, images, video, or related instructions. Norscribe limits these transfers to what is reasonably needed to provide the requested function and evaluates provider settings and agreements as the service develops.
AI-generated material can be inaccurate or incomplete. Users are responsible for reviewing and approving content before publishing or relying on it.
4. When information is shared
Norscribe may share information:
- With infrastructure and processing providers that help deliver authentication, database, storage, hosting, analytics, transcription, AI, email, and security functions.
- With platforms such as Meta or Google when you connect an account or direct Norscribe to retrieve destination information or publish content.
- With other authorized members of your organization according to their assigned roles.
- When reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to legal process, investigate abuse, or protect rights and safety.
- As part of a business reorganization or transfer, subject to appropriate notice and protection.
Norscribe does not sell personal information or connected-platform data.
5. Third-party platforms
Google, Meta, Facebook, Instagram, Google Business Profile, and other connected services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. Connecting a platform authorizes Norscribe to act only within the permissions you grant. You can revoke a platform connection through Norscribe when that option is available or through the platform’s own settings.
Embedded content on norscribe.ai. The homepage and the web-design page show Norscribe’s public Facebook Page timeline using Facebook’s own Page plugin, and load fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser loads that content it connects directly to Facebook (Meta) or Google, which can receive information such as your IP address, browser and device details, and the page you are viewing, and may read or set cookies — including recognizing you if you are signed in to Facebook. Those companies handle that information under their own policies. Norscribe does not receive your personal information through the embed and does not control what those companies collect, although Facebook may provide Page owners with aggregated Page statistics under its own terms. The Facebook plugin loads when you scroll near it. If you prefer not to load it, use the “Open the Norscribe Page on Facebook” link beneath the feed or block third-party content in your browser; the rest of the site works without it. Norscribe does not add its own advertising or analytics trackers to the public website, and its hosting provider keeps routine server logs. A plain link to our Facebook Page does not load Facebook content until you follow it.
6. Retention
Norscribe retains information while your account or organization uses the service and as reasonably necessary to provide requested functionality, preserve publishing records, resolve disputes, maintain security, comply with law, and enforce agreements. Original captured material is preserved unless an authorized user deletes it or requests deletion, subject to legitimate retention requirements and backup cycles.
Website analytics and embedded media
Our public website and hosted creator pages count page loads, traffic-source categories, language choices and button actions to understand which work is useful. This analytics system uses no cookies or persistent visitor IDs and does not record names, email addresses, full referring URLs or raw IP addresses in its analytics tables. A daily rotating network hash and short-lived event IDs help limit abuse and duplicate requests; these records are removed as new traffic is processed. Aggregate counts remain for reporting. Global Privacy Control and browser Do Not Track signals disable these analytics requests.
YouTube and Spotify players on Matt’s page connect to those services only when you choose to load them. Their own privacy policies apply when connected. Hosting providers still process normal request logs. Form submissions remain separate from aggregate analytics.
7. Security
Norscribe uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed for the nature of the service. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Users must protect their devices and accounts and promptly report suspected unauthorized access.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location and relationship with Norscribe, you may request access, correction, export, restriction, objection, disconnection, or deletion of information. Organization owners may also control member access. Instructions for requesting deletion are available at norscribe.ai/data-deletion.
9. Children
Norscribe is a business service and is not directed to children under 13. Norscribe does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
10. International processing
Norscribe is operated in the United States. Information may be processed in the United States and other locations where service providers operate, subject to applicable law and contractual safeguards.
11. Changes
Norscribe may update this policy as the service changes. Material updates will be posted here with a revised effective date and, when appropriate, additional notice.
12. Contact
Privacy and data requests may be sent to christianwiedmann@gmail.com. Do not send passwords, access tokens, or other authentication secrets by email.
